LiftKit is a privacy-first workout tracker for strength and conditioning. It supports progressive-overload lifting (with automatic weight progression), timed formats like EMOM, AMRAP, intervals, and for-time workouts, kettlebell complexes, supersets, and multi-round sessions — with a Live Activity and Dynamic Island timer that keeps running while your phone is in your pocket. Your data stays on your device.
All of your routines, history, and settings are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to us. If you use iCloud or iTunes/Finder device backups, your LiftKit data is included in that private backup, which only you control.
Health integration is off until you turn it on. Open Settings in LiftKit, enable Apple Health, and approve the permissions in the system prompt. LiftKit can then save your workouts (and estimated calorie burn) to Health, and read nutrition you’ve logged elsewhere. You can change or revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
LiftKit’s timer is driven by the wall clock, so it keeps counting even when the app is suspended. If it isn’t appearing, make sure Live Activities are enabled in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Live Activities (and in Settings → LiftKit), and that notifications are allowed. If a podcast or music is playing, the system may show the timer in the compact/minimal island slot — it’s still there.
Volume tracking for timed formats (AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, and more) is calculated from the weight and reps you set on each exercise and the rounds you complete. Make sure you’ve entered a weight on the exercise and tapped the round counter as you finish circuits. Sessions recorded in older versions of the app before this feature was added won’t have that data.
No. LiftKit works fully offline and never asks you to create an account or sign in.
Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. Anything LiftKit wrote to Apple Health is managed separately in the Health app and can be removed there.
LiftKit collects no personal data and includes no tracking or ads. Read the full Privacy Policy.
We build LiftKit based on what lifters actually ask for. Send ideas, bugs, or a workout format you’d like supported to support@liftrunhealthkit.com — a screenshot and your app version (shown in Settings) are a big help.
